A screen needs flat contact. Structured crowns hold a dome that will not flatten, and no print crosses a seam cleanly, so placement is genuinely limited.

Ink Types

  • Plastisol. The standard. Sits on top of the fabric, holds bright opaque color, works on any fabric color. Slightly raised feel.
  • Water-based. Soaks into the fibers for a soft hand with almost no feel. Best on light fabrics; less opaque on dark.
  • Discharge. Removes the fabric dye and replaces it with pigment. Very soft result, cotton only.
