What Is Sublimation Printing?
It dyes the fabric itself. In sublimation, your design is printed onto a transfer, then heat and pressure turn the dye into a gas that bonds into the polyester fibers, so the design becomes part of the fabric rather than a layer on top. That’s the opposite of embroidery (raised thread) or a printed patch, and it’s why sublimation has no feel or raised texture at all, it’s smooth like the fabric itself.
