Structured or Unstructured?
Both exist and it changes everything about the decoration. A fully unstructured camp hat has no buckram behind the front panel, so it collapses flat and a dense logo will pucker it. A lightly structured version holds shape and takes more detail.
Neither is better. Unstructured reads softer and more lived-in; light structure keeps a crisper silhouette and a cleaner logo. What matters is knowing which one you have before the artwork is set up. Ask whether the blank is structured before you size the logo. The same design that looks sharp on a lightly structured camp hat will ripple on a fully unstructured one.
Fit and Sizing
Camp hats are almost always adjustable, using a webbing strap with a metal slider or a plastic buckle rather than a snap. That gives a cleaner back than a snapback and a wider adjustment range than most people expect, typically covering around 21 to 23.5 inches of head circumference.
